Jimmy has entrusted me, his most likable and best white friend to serve as his voice for changes to the league. This text message was in regards to our most recent votes but since Jim doesn't work email so good and I am sure rarely checks our blog, let's take a vote now deciding if Jimmy's vote can be got through me. I think it is a good idea to expedite things and keep this league from falling apart. I'll text him, or take him to hooters so we can talk about the issues, I promise.
This is like the riddle of the Sphinx. Jim wants to draft at a time that works for everyone...but we've basically established there is no such time. So Jim wants to draft at a time that doesn't exist, ergo he never wants to draft. Jim DID quit the league. Resume Anarchy.
ReplyDeleteAside from that, Jim and John are in pretty similar situations with keepers, standings, etc. Not to pigeonhole anybody, but they'd probably vote pretty consistently with one another regardless. I approve John to be Jim's proxy for pre-season voting, prior to choosing keepers. Although I'm a bit skeptical of this arrangement considering John did not vote for Jim or himself on whether the 8/29 on-line draft is okay with him.
We only need a majority of shares to approve John as a proxy.
ReplyDeleteJason's and my vote are enough to pass. I vote Yay.
So, if Jim and John can internet draft on 8/29 we are a go? Correct?
I guess I'm okay with this. But why does John get to vote for two people? Anybody that knows anything knows that his two votes will always beat my one. Sorry if I'm making this hard, but this just eats at me a little bit, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteHere's a good solution to this conundrum. Since Jimmy doesn't care about voting, let's just not let him have a vote. Jimmy abstains from all votes. Now 5 is a majority.
ReplyDeleteScott makes a good point, but I threw up in my mouth a little bit at the prospect of voting on what to do with Jimmy's voting rights.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone like my idea of pod voting? I think that solution might apply here to some extent. Just some food for thought?
