1: Still need votes from Jimmy, Everett, and Steve regarding the trade of Ray Rice for Michael Turner. Or Tyler could close the voting and announce the trade a go as it stands at 4 ayes to 1 nay.
2: It has been proposed to lose the keeper in the round he's projected. Responses have been favorable, but no official vote has been made.
3: Projection used: I propose sticking with Yahoo since no one has actually seen the official rankings yet.
4: Waiver wire change. It has been proposed to change the waiver wire rules so as to make it not first-come-first serve. Each player would get his player off the wire on Tuesday presumably, and the player would be awarded in order of waiver priority. Again, responses have seemed favorable as of yet, but no official vote has been made.
Please vote yay or nay on all four issues in the comments. I am instituting a deadline of this Friday. If votes are not in by then, the majority wins.

Steve's vote is enough to pass the Rice-Turner trade. That issue is settled.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Brandon involved in the notorious Brandon Jacobs boondoggle? And we are indirectly being labeled as unscrupulous? What nerve.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside:
Welcome to the team, Mike. I trust you and Adrian will have many fruitful weeks together. Please guys, we're a team, so let's leave egos out of this. I know Mike is a little hurt by his preseason projections, and Adrian is not used to seeing a #2 by his name. Let's make amends on the field. Our target? No. 1 and No. 2 at the end of the season. I fully expect more than 15 TD's and more than ten 100+ yard games from both of you.

3. Yay, but open to alternatives
4. Yay, but waiver wire number should rotate according to the order in which people used waivers to acquire players (like in years past, but the waiver number will actually mean something now). Tyler has pontificated on an egalitarian waiver system where the last place team always gets first dibs. I am opposed to such a setup.

Thanks for handling this Scott.
I spoke with Jimmy. He said may my vote be his. And he is still in the league. He wouldn't do us like that.
